Anthony D. Christie
Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer

As Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer, Anthony Christie develops, implements and operates a global technology and IT strategy in collaboration with key Global Crossing stakeholders, customers and partners. By employing this strategy, Global Crossing delivers a differentiated experience with offers that leverage its existing technology — and embraces new technology, that maximizes its own productivity and value to its customers.

In this role, Mr. Christie leads the Information Technology groups, Global Crossing's Customer Experience Re-Engineering (CER) team and initiatives, and the new function of Global Business Process. He is responsible for overseeing the alignment of process and systems across the entire global experience, including pricing, ordering, access, delivery, billing, and assurance to solidify and enhance the integrity of the company's global asset and value proposition to its customers.

Prior to this, Mr. Christie was managing director of Global Crossing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, leading the company's critical UK and European businesses, with responsibility for sales, marketing and operations efforts in the regions, ensuring that Global Crossing's expanded presence is closely aligned with the global organization.

Mr. Christie also previously served as Global Crossing's chief marketing officer, overseeing the marketing organization worldwide. His responsibilities included product development, product management, pricing, strategic marketing and market development. He joined Global Crossing as senior vice president for business integration and strategic planning in November 2001, and moved to lead the offer and product management organization in February 2002.

Prior to joining Global Crossing, Mr. Christie was vice president of business development and strategic planning for Asia Global Crossing (AGC). In this position, he was accountable for all business and corporate development, joint venture P&L and M&A activities, as well as overall strategic planning for the company.

Prior to joining AGC, Mr. Christie was general manager and network vice president with AT&T Solutions, where he was the single point of accountability for account strategy, P&L, customer satisfaction, personnel and business development on one of AT&T's most complex outsourcing engagements, valued in excess of $300 million annually. While at AT&T Solutions, he also held the position of global sales and operations vice president, where he built and managed the customer-facing and service delivery team that developed, sold and implemented custom network solutions for the existing base of Solutions' clients.

Prior to joining AT&T Solutions, Mr. Christie was AT&T's 1997-1998 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) Sloan Fellow, where he earned a Master of Science degree in management and published a thesis on thin browser wireless Internet technology. Before entering M.I.T., Mr. Christie held various positions with AT&T's Asia Pacific International Operations Division and numerous positions with AT&T's international businesses, including product management, business and consumer marketing, carrier services and market development.

Mr. Christie holds a B.S. in marketing with a concentration in computer science from Drexel University, an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven and an M.S. in management from M.I.T.
