Anthony D. Christie

As managing director of Global Crossing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Anthony Christie leads the company's critical UK and European businesses, with responsibility for sales, marketing and operations efforts in the regions, ensuring that Global Crossing's expanded presence is closely aligned with the global organization.

Mr. Christie previously served as Global Crossing's chief marketing officer, overseeing the marketing organization worldwide. His responsibilities included product development, product management, pricing, strategic marketing and market development.

Mr. Christie joined Global Crossing as senior vice president for business integration and strategic planning in November 2001, and moved to lead the offer and product management organization in February 2002. In the latter role, Mr. Christie managed global product strategy development, deployment, and profit and loss for all wholesale and retail products for the company.

Prior to joining Global Crossing, Mr. Christie was vice president of business development and strategic planning for Asia Global Crossing (AGC). In this position, Mr. Christie was accountable for all business and corporate development, joint venture P&L and M&A activities, as well as overall strategic planning for the company.

Prior to joining AGC, Mr. Christie was general manager and network vice president with AT&T Solutions in New York City. Mr. Christie was the single point of accountability for account strategy, P&L, customer satisfaction, personnel and business development on one of AT&T's most complex outsourcing engagements, valued in excess of $300 million annually. While at AT&T Solutions, Mr. Christie also held the position of global sales and operations vice president, where he built and managed the customer-facing and service delivery team that developed, sold and implemented custom network solutions for the existing base of Solutions' clients. This team generated more than $700 million in term revenue under Mr. Christie's leadership.

Prior to joining AT&T Solutions, Mr. Christie was AT&T's 1997-1998 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). Sloan Fellow, where he earned a Master of Science degree in management and published a thesis on thin browser wireless Internet technology. Before entering M.I.T., Mr. Christie held various positions with AT&T's Asia Pacific International Operations Division, including regional managing director for the Consumer Markets Division, where he was responsible for revenues in excess of U.S. $1.5 billion in 14 countries and P&L of calling card direct services in Asia in excess of U.S. $400 million. Mr. Christie has held numerous positions with AT&T's international businesses that included product management, business and consumer marketing, carrier services and market development. His domestic U.S. experiences include sales and marketing positions with AT&T's National Accounts Division. During his five years in sales and marketing, Mr. Christie was nominated to AT&T's Council of Leaders and Winners Circles four separate times.

Mr. Christie holds a B.S. in marketing with a concentration in computer science from Drexel University, an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven and an M.S. in management from M.I.T.
