RELIANCE AND SPECTRUM CALLING CARDS USER GUIDE

"Power dial" with Global Crossing calling cards. It's the easiest way to dial anywhere, anytime!
Assign the four-digit Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) you want to power dial; include up to 100 of your most frequently dialed domestic and international phone numbers. Update these private PINs as needed by calling your local representative or Global Crossing Customer Service. (Certain PIN restrictions apply.)

To power dial:

  • Dial your toll-free Global Crossing number.
  • At the prompt, enter any pre-assigned PIN and you'll be connected.

Faster, easier calling card calls on the road

  • Dial direct from virtually any touchtone phone in the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii, as well as in Canada, Guam, Saipan, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • When using a rotary or pulse phone, dial your Global Crossing Reliance number and hold. The Global Crossing operator will help connect your call.

To place a calling card call:

  • Dial your toll-free Global Crossing number.
  • At the prompt, enter your four-digit Calling Code.
  • At the tone, dial the phone number you wish to call:
    • For domestic U.S. calls or calls to Canada, dial Area Code + Number
    • For international calls*, dial 011 + country code + city code + number

*Your calling code PIN must be activated for international service to complete these calls.

To make additional calls:
DO NOT HANG UP -- Press # for two full seconds and at the prompt, enter the next PIN you wish to dial. (If making a calling card call, enter your calling code PIN, then your next phone number.)

Faster, easier international calling
You can assign your private PINs to power dial any international phone number. In addition, if you choose, you can use your calling code PIN to dial to unassigned international numbers in most countries. You can even place calls from many countries to any number in the U.S. and most other countries worldwide.

To place a call from outside the U.S.:

  • Dial the international toll-free access number of the country you are calling from.
  • At the prompt, enter your international security code (8346)
  • At the prompt, enter your 10-digit Global Crossing toll-free number.
  • At the prompt, enter your four-digit Calling Code PIN, preprogrammed Power Dial, or Special Feature PIN.

For a list of countries you can call to and from, refer to the International Guide.

Note: For your security, international dialing using your calling code PIN is blocked unless you request this feature. If the international security code is not entered, or you are calling from a rotary phone, a stateside operator will come on the line to assist you in completing your call. All international origination calls can be completed through the automated system, but you do have the option to speak with a live operator if needed.
