VIDEOCONFERENCING CUSTOMIZED SERVICES & TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Help Desk and Troubleshooting
The key to Global Crossing's videoconferencing service is our responsive and always available Help Desk. Committed to making every videoconference a success, we have all the necessary expertise in every technology area to proactively monitor each meeting to prevent problems before they occur. If a site is disconnected from the bridge before the scheduled meeting end time, the operator contacts the video administrator to initiate troubleshooting. If a meeting experiences problems, Global Crossing will determine the root of the problem retest to verify performance, and then issue a trouble report.
You can call our Help Desk 365 days a year to:
- Troubleshoot a technical issue during any meeting.
- Resolve a technical issue or question in preparing for a future meeting.
You can contact the Help Desk direct at 1-303-260-4900 or freephone at 1-800-546-5882 (press #2).
Testing Division
We've developed the Testing Division to nail down accurate site information and to ensure a solid connection with Global Crossing's conferencing bridge. You can schedule a test at any time or can simply test on the fly if an operator is available. During testing, Global Crossing troubleshoots any potential problems and alerts the video administrator of any complications -- all to ensure reliable videoconferencing.
Loop Back Number
To ensure a high quality of service for our customers, Global Crossing, Conferencing Services would like to present a new testing feature to ease with validating the performance of your videoconference equipment prior to a meeting with a new Loop back number service. This service is provided at no charge to our customers.
Site testing without the involvement of a videoconference technician is available to our customers by dialing into our "Loop Back Number." With this service, customers have the ability to self-test by dialing 303.633.6140. The data rate for this service is 2x64K. Once connected, the bridge will transmit back the image and sound projected. Please retry the connection if you receive a busy signal.
This is a compliment to the other site testing services Global Crossing offers. You can rely on Global Crossing for a quality connection in every videoconference. To ensure your satisfaction, we can test each of your sites to identify potential problems with equipment, connections, etc., ahead of time or you can use the new Loop Back Number Service. We don't want there to be any surprises at meeting time, so we look for problems before they appear.
If an untested site is scheduled in an upcoming conference, a Global Crossing operator will continue to contact that site's video administrator directly to conduct a test.
T.120 Protocol for Data Conferencing
The T.120 standard, an umbrella term that addresses infrastructure and protocols for delivering data and graphics in a multipoint meeting, is more commonly known as document or audio graphics conferencing. As a supplement to videoconferences, the T.120 standard allows meeting members to work together on text files, spreadsheets, and graphic images. As videoconferences migrate from the conference room to the desktop, document conferencing is increasing in popularity.
