The subsea route provides the most direct path, and ultimately high-speed connectivity, between New York and the United Kingdom. The Ultra-low Latency offer leverages the subsea fiber and extends the Ultra-low Latency Service over a terrestrial network connecting major financial centers around the globe, such as New York City, Chicago, Toronto, London, and Frankfurt.
The Global Crossing Ultra-low Latency Service is further enriched by competitive SLAs and low latency route diversity options. Working from the feedback provided by our financial customers, Global Crossing structured SLA guarantees that rival the published "expected latency values" of other service providers. The "expected" round trip delay metrics of the Global Crossing ultra-low latency routes are microseconds faster than the SLA guarantees.
Building a comprehensive ultra-low latency solution means creating diversity options that mitigate the risk of unplanned outages. Global Crossing Atlantic Crossing 2 (AC-2) is a subsea transatlantic fiber optic cable that parallels AC-1. This secondary route provides a redundant, low latency alternative ring at a tiered price point.
