Amsterdam, The Netherlands - November 22, 2005 -- Capacity magazine, the only monthly publication that focuses on the latest business techniques and strategies for bringing innovation and efficiency to the wholesale telecommunications industry, announced that Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC) received its top award and was named "Best Global Wholesale Provider" at its Annual Global Wholesale Awards ceremony last night in Amsterdam. This industry distinction was awarded to Global Crossing for its outstanding achievements in customer service, network availability and product offerings.

"With many qualified candidates from which to choose, the judges enthusiastically agreed that Global Crossing should receive top honors as 'Best Global Wholesale Provider' for consistently delivering market-leading, quality global wholesale services," said Mark Kemp, Capacity's CEO. "Global Crossing has pioneered next-generation services, offering a full range of industry-leading IP, data, and voice products. In addition, Global Crossing's customer feedback is consistently positive - a strong indicator of superior service."

"Global Crossing is committed to being the recognized leader in delivering advanced IP solutions to both global enterprises, and the carriers that serve them. This award validates our progress towards meeting our commitment and providing all of our customers the best products, services and networking in the industry," said John Legere, Global Crossing's CEO. "On behalf of all of Global Crossing's employees, I sincerely thank Capacity magazine and the esteemed panel of judges for honoring us with this prestigious award."

Capacity's Annual Global Wholesale Awards recognizes top wholesale telecommunications providers. The "Best Global Wholesale Provider" award is the highest honor a provider can receive. Global Crossing was judged by a panel of industry thought-leaders, including: Camille Mendler, vice president of the Yankee Group; Stephen Young, research director of OVUM; Judy Reed Smith, CEO of Atlantic-ACM; Mark Kemp, CEO of TelCap and publisher of Capacity; and Eira Haywood, editor of Capacity. In addition to acknowledging Global Crossing's customer service, network availability and robust product offering, the judging panel made special mention of Global Crossing's Fast Trackā„¢ portfolio of wholesale services which helps service providers extend their geographic reach and reduce their time to market.

"This award, along with other industry honors we have received for our strategy, innovation and product differentiation, provide further evidence to customers as to why they should choose Global Crossing as their service provider," said Pieter Duijves, Global Crossing's managing director of Europe. "We appreciate this important industry accolade and will continue to strive to keep our standards high and our customers happy."

Mr. Kemp presented the "Best Global Wholesale Provider" award to Mr. Duijves on behalf of Global Crossing at the Capacity Europe 2005 convention in Amsterdam. In early December, Capacity will publish an awards supplement to the magazine with a full list of award winners.
