Global Crossing Flying High With Bristow Helicopters
Global Managed MPLS IP-VPN and Internet Solution to 30 Sites in Three Regions
London, 18 October 2007 -- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC) has announced that it has been awarded a $1.44 million contract by Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS) -- one of the world's largest providers of helicopter services -- to provide IP VPN connectivity across 30 individual sites in Europe, North America and Australia.
The contract was signed this month and is already underway, with the installation due to be completed in early 2008. Fixed sites in 23 locations will be connected along with seven remote sites in locations such as Alaska, Mexico, Trinidad and the Caribbean. Additionally, the solution provides Application Performance Monitoring with Application Integrity and network-based Internet access where some business applications are hosted.
