Global Crossing Enhances Ready-Access Web Meeting to Enable Podcast Publishing

Florham Park, N.J. - October 29, 2007 -- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced key enhancements to Global Crossing Ready-Access® Web Meeting, such as the ability to edit recordings of meetings and training sessions and transform them into rich media podcasts that can be shared effortlessly with mobile and geographically dispersed employees, customers and partners.

These new features are part of Global Crossing's latest update to Ready-Access Web Meeting. A fully integrated audio and Web conferencing productivity solution, Ready-Access Web Meeting provides companies with global business communications to maimize time, resources and productivity anytime, anywhere.

"Global Crossing is one of the first Web collaboration providers to offer an easy-to-use podcasting tool that records, hosts and delivers audio and visual presentations -- all synchronized seamlessly with our Web conferencing service," said Dan Wagner, executive vice president of enterprise and collaboration services.

Podcasts are ideal for publishing recordings of department meetings, training sessions, sales presentations and project work. Listeners can tune in at their convenience to podcasts on their portable media players on airplanes, trains or in automobiles, maximizing time and productivity. Podcasts can also be distributed to subscribers via iTunes™-compatible RSS feeds for playback on MP3 players, desktop computers, televisions or set-top videoconferencing systems.

Ready-Access Web Meeting's new conference center is another way Global Crossing makes Web conferencing easier to use. The new conference center serves as a user interface allowing meeting organizers or trainers to initiate and manage meetings while creating and sending invitations that automatically populate participants' calendars. The interface is compatible with most calendaring systems including Outlook® and Lotus Notes®. Meeting organizers can also customize up to five participant registration fields to collect contact details and information about the audience, as well as view and download Web and recording reports from the conference center. In addition, Ready-Access Web Meeting now includes data encryption for recordings and PowerPoint files stored using 128-bit DES encryption, ensuring the highest standard for enterprise security.
